Walking the Talk: Clarifying Goals to Instigate Change

I’ve been taking my own advice and thinking about changes I need to make for the future.

When you’re doing that for yourself or your business, it can create some discomfort … Perhaps a bit of self-doubt and anxiety as you contemplate how to do things differently.

However, a recent trip down south to Cromwell to celebrate a friend’s birthday, was an excellent circuit-breaker for me in the middle of that process.

Try a change of scene

Being surrounded by friends, family, snow-topped mountains, and basking in restorative sunshine, was just the tonic I needed to shake off any worries (especially in the middle of winter!).

It also provided some clarity about what I need to do. There’s nothing like a change of scene and pace to crystallise your thoughts and remove your usual distractions.

If you’re about to instigate changes in your personal or professional life, your business or organisation, be kind to yourself – find ways to take the pressure off while you ride out the process.
